Workshop "Painting Birds" 29th of November

Birds are one of my favorite things to paint. Why? 

When you look at a wren, you might just see a small, round, brown fluffy ball at first glance. Something so simple, it almost gets lost in the landscape. If you take the time to actually take a good look at the creature, you will see a whole world of textures, colors and shapes. During this workshop you will learn how to paint birds with the medium “Acrylic Gouache”. This is a new type of paint that has the intense pigmentation of gouache but is completely waterproof when dry just like acrylic paint. This makes it ideal to work with at a fast pace. 

During this workshop you will choose a type of bird that you will paint. Liesbeth will teach you how to translate a reference to paper. What are you really seeing on the picture, other than what you THINK you see? I will show you how to mix your colors properly and how to turn a simple sketch into a finished painting with a background. 

All painting materials and references will be provided but if you would prefer to bring your own, please feel free! We will turn the afternoon into a cozy, autumnal time with some tea and snacks.
